Belwind is currently developing the largest energy project ever undertaken:
Belgium-based Belwind, a sizeable offshore wind farm located at a significant distance from the coast.

The wind farm will be built 46kms offshore off the Belgian coast.

The construction of this wind farm will be in 2 phases, 55 turbines will be built in each phase. The wind farm will have a capacity of 330MW and will produce 1.1 TWh of electricity on an annual basis. This is enough to provide about 350.000 households with green energy.

Also 540.000 tonnes/year CO2 emissions will be avoided. There is no other wind farm in the world that is located as far offshore as Belwind, which is also the fastest offshore wind development in the world.
